A twist of HISTORY: From a DICTATOR to a HERO

During the campaign, Duterte made a promise to the Marcoses, that if ever he became president, Ferdinand Marcos would be buried in the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

This opened the argument of WHY should be a DICTATOR and HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATOR be buried in the LNMB and be honored as a HERO.

A hero, as defined in most dictionaries, is a person, man or woman, “noted for feats of courage and nobility of purpose.”

A hero is someone who is “distinguished by exceptional courage, noble qualities, and outstanding achievements.”

He or she is someone who is greatly admired for his or her “COURAGE, SELFLESSNESS, and HONESTY.”

Now let us consider former president Ferdinand Marcos.

Would Ferdinand Marcos fall under any of these definitions?

Given that during his regime, there were significant number of unexplained killings and disappearances, massive plunder of government fund, and absolute abuse of power over the country, the obvious answer should be NO.

But none of these sentiments seemed to matter, because President Duterte insisted that Marcos is bound to have a hero’s burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

Leaving the issues of the Martial Law behind, Duterte still thinks that Marcos deserved to be buried at the LNMB. And that is because Marcos was once a soldier, and every soldier has the right to be buried there.

Here is the thing, soldiers buried at the LNMB were assumed to have fought and died fighting for the country, and so they were recognized as heroes.

Marcos, on the other hand, certainly did not die for his country!

As a matter of fact, researches done by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines shows that Marcos took advantage of whatever army connections he had to exaggerate his reputations and power as a soldier.

In short, his service as a “soldier” was nothing but a manipulative lie.

So, if he is not a hero, and not even worthy to be called a soldier, it is clear that Ferdinand Marcos should not be buried in the Libingan ng mga Bayani, but obviously be buried somewhere else.

As clear as the morning sun it seems, Supreme Court today just favored the hero’s burial for Ferdinand Marcos.

With a vote of 9-5, the DICTATOR is about to be recognized as a NATIONAL HERO.

Thank you, SC, for failing the Filipino people!

Thank you, President Duterte, for initiating this crap!
